Return from Christmas

I have arrived..Again! I hope everyone had a splendid Christmas; I know I sure did. We're back in the 'burgy and I'm just enjoying my last few days as a lady of leisure as student teaching starts MONDAY!!! Yikes! I'm getting extra nervous!

I don't have much to write about because most of what I wanted to say will be explained in the pictures I attach above. But, here's one last Christmas story for you that goes along with some of the pictures.

Mr. Santa must have thought I was a really good girl this year, and after proving him right, he presented me with a NEW CAR! That's right. Not one of the silly toy cars or Matchbox cars that some people get as jokes on their 16th birthday, nope, I got the REAL deal. A 1999 Subaru Outback (hello! only my DREAM car!).

On Christmas morning, I was handed a stack of presents from "Santa," which I quickly began to open. The first thing I opened was a license frame cover which reads "I'm not spoiled...My Husband just loves me." Also in this box was a car scent freshener. I was puzzled knowing that Ben would never allow me to put that frame on his baby, the Explorer. Next, I opened a steering wheel cover. It is just like Ben's, only a lighter color. So by this time I was freaking out inside, not wanting to get my hopes up or anything, but wondering if there really was a car somewhere. The next thing was a tiny little bag hanging on the tree, so small, I didn't even notice it until Ben grabbed it off the tree. Inside this tiny jewelry bag was my lock remote for the car. Ben told me to click one of the buttons and I did and heard a little honk from the garage. I ran as fast as my slippered-feet would let me, opened the door, and there it was, my new car!!! Wahoo!!!! It's a stick so I've been having fun perfecting my clutch skills and am happy to report that I'm almost pro...that's ALMOST!!!

We had a great visit in Utah and loved seeing all of our family. My mom came up with us on Monday night and spent a few days with us so we could go "student teaching school shopping." I got some very nice new clothes that will, hopefully, make me look a little older than 13.

More to come tomorrow. Love you all.
