Some new additions

Hello!! It's been entirely too long since last posting. I'm terribly sorry. I've been a bit busy.

anyway...I have a few minutes of free time and thought I would introduce my readers to a new feature, which I just added last night. Most you can probaly see the little "Search" box up at the top of my blog, probably with a gray background. This is the new addition, my Google Search box.

If you are familiar with Blogger.com, you may already know what this little feature does, but for those of you who don't use this particular system, let me explain.

I've signed up with Google to be a bit of a "plug" for Google Search engine. This means, in essence, that from my web blog, you can search the www by using that little box above. If you have anything you're looking for anywhere on the net, you just pop right up there and type it in and you'll be directed to thousands and millions of links. Since I'm a frequent Googler, I thought it was a grand idea to include this on my blog.

Something else to note, which I will admit right now as a self-promoting plug, is that each time you use that particular Search box/browser on MY blog, I get paid. Basically, I'm "working" for Google in helping them widen the search options. This is not to say that I'm begging and pleading you all to use this feature, but more of a new thing for me to try out. I will just say that this is my invitation for YOU, my lovely readers, to Search the web using MY Search tool. I'm not asking for the $$...that's just an added perk.

Also, many of you might have noticed the visitor counter which I recently installed at the bottom of the page. This is, again, is somewhat of a self-promoting tool that I am using to see just how many people visit the site. It really has not affect, whatsoever, on the blog itself...I'm just slowly turning into a "Tech Geek" (that's what my students say, anyway) and finally figured out how I go about adding a counter. Pay no attention if you are not interested in my pathetic little site, but let me revel in the attention for a few seconds each day (or each time I post).

On another note: Student teaching is going super. I had my first observation by the university supervisor and, despite the fact that my 7th period was out of control talking, it went very well and I was complimented on many things. A real test is set for tomorrow, however, when Mrs. B leaves me with a substitute all day and I am left in charge of all the classes, 3rd-7th. (For those unfamiliar, even though I'm a student teacher that takes over all of the classes eventually, if my cooperating teacher is gone, they still have to call in a substitute...I can't act as the substitute). I'm excited.

Happy Thursday, everyone...like I've been telling my students all day "TGIF it's Friday tomorrow!!!"

Love you all .
