Well, we've made it to Friday, yet again, and here I sit in our freezing apartment, forcing myself to post. For some reason, writing just doesn't sound enticing right now.
Oh well.
Most of you noticed that I changed the template of my blog once again. I also took off the viewer counter and Google search bar. I found myself getting more excited about these two tools than I was about just posting. I needed a change, and quite honestly, I don't remember how to go back and retrieve those two tools to replace them on my new template.
Oh well.
This week has been a week of cheering change. Though I've been depressed and feeling icky about a bunch of things, I realized, or rather forced myself, to recognize all the changes going on in my life as a positive thing. I would like to say that I've been sage-old mature about these upcoming changes and that I have faced them head on with outstanding courage but, alas, that's not quite true. I've been a brat; I've had mini-melt downs full of tears and screaming; I've neglected what others might feel about the changes, as well.
Despite that child-like behavior, with graduation, job hunts, and moving, among other mini-changes, change, for me, is something to be cheered.
A few wise, humorous, and helpful quotes I've found on change:
"Change is inevitable--except from a vending machine." --Robert C. Gallagher
"If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't grow, we aren't really living." --Gail Sheehy
"It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad." --C.S. Lewis
"We all have change in our life that are more or less a second chance." --Harrison Ford
Thanks for reading my bland thoughts today....
Love you all.
Have a great weekend.
