I figured with a week past since my last post, tonight might be a good night to update and let you all know why I have been absent.
I'm putting myself through the drudgery of looking for a job; both summer and teaching in the fall. So far, it's been a myriad of applications, resume, and other such torture. I'm not the type that likes to "toot my own horn," but I'm come to conclude that that's what you have to do in order to get a job.
Today, I spent the better part of my day trying to write my "Philosophy of Teaching" essay. So far, only one of the districts I'm applying with has required such item, but I have no doubt it would be a good thing to have.
After nearly two hours--yes, two hours--I had two paragraphs down. It's hard to really WRITE what my philosophy is since mine is still emerging and growing into its shoes. I didn't want to sound too cheesy or corny, but inevitably, that's what happened.
After the fourth hour, I had to quit, put my foot down, and take a break. It's a difficult task. If anyone would like to write my philosophy for me (any philosophy will do at this point), I would be much appreciative. Leave your offers in my comment box.

A week from Saturday is the big GRADUATION! Wahoo! I sent out the fancy announcements on Monday so you should have received yours or will soon. Sadly, I'm not as excited as one might think. Quite contrary-I'm depressed. Blah.
Perhaps it's the fact that this new chapter of my life scares me. Or perhaps I'll miss Rexburg and it's chilly, frigid winters. It's probably not that last reason, but yes, I will somewhat miss "Rexy."
I'm in a BLUE funk, in other words, and don't know what to do but plug through each day a second at a time. I hate to wear down my readers, so I'll stop for tonight.
In a few days I'll be posting a gigantic "thank you" list on my blog..it's already been written...I've just been waiting for the perfect time to post it. It's a "thank you" to everyone who has been involved in my college career. You know who you are.
Love you all.

Larn,
Calm down, you're fabulous and any district would be lucky to get you. As for the teaching philosophy, let me know if you need help, I had to write one last semester (I'm surprised you haven't written one yet). Congrats on the graduation! Expect a card from me soon!
