Lauren the Writer

Wow! It has been months since my last entry. Probably the longest I've ever gone without a post. I guess you could say I have been lazy in my writing habits as of late, but now have found a rejuvinated desire to write.
Recently, I had the experience of entering one of my short stories in a local writing contest. Though my story did not win, I felt a great sense of satisfaction having gone through the process of writing; generating possible ideas, putting thoughts on paper, and finally the act of completing and submitting the story. After that experience, I have found myself spending time writing bits of possible stories, random ideas, and inner thoughts on any piece of paper I could get my hands on. I miss the feeling of writing, even if it is just clicking away on my computer, venting frustrations or expressing ideas.
So, in short.... I'M BACK!

The Writing Lauren has returned and will once again use my small blog (which, by the by, has been up and running for a full year now!)as my public pedastool of writing.
