We spent an afternoon at the mall yesterday. Among other things, we were there to see the eye doctor at Knighton Optical.
After Ben's visit with the doc, (I go back today at 4), we decided to go window shopping for (of course) shoes for me. Apparently, Ben says, Lauren needs just one more pair of shoes, preferably, Lauren says, a cute pair of brown strappy ones.
Just a few stores into feeding my shoe addiction, we both decided we were hungry. We've done super good not to eat out as much, noting when we do, we must eat healthy! I decided I wanted some Chick-fil-a and Ben went to Subway. We both got our food and sat down in the really-crowded-for-a-Monday food court.
Before I dove in, I decided I needed to wash my mits, so off to the icky mall bathroom I went.
On my way to the restroom, I walked passed an Asian woman. Not just any Asian woman, but a PREGNANT Asian women.
Perhaps I don't go out much, or maybe I'm not very observant, but as I walked passed that beautiful pregnant Asian woman, I thought to myself, "Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a pregnant Asian woman! I sat there, in the bathroom, going through 23 years worth of weird memories and really could not put my finger on one involving a pregnant Asian woman.
I hurried back to the table and commented to Ben about this recent discovery. He didn't seem as flabergasted by this observation, but kindly shook his head, so as not to make me feel dumb.
Yeah, really. A pregnant Asian lady!! I'm still trying to fully grasp it.
