I've only been in the classes two days and both nights I've had homework until nearly 8pm. I'm taking two classes, one in the morning on How Languages are Learned; my afternoon class is called Phonology and Syntax. I know. Your jealous of me, right? The only redeeming factor (well, there's a few I suppose) is that there are three other teachers from WL, who all happen to be my colleague cohorts (meaning we're pretty friendly at school so it makes the classes a little less painful). We're all going to be working on two projects together and we came up with a nifty system of getting our reading for both classes finished; we read out loud together!
Because of this class, I really haven't had much else going on this week. Last night we took Zeus for a walk to Wal-Greens to get a prescription. He is doing really well on the leash, but still needs some training on dealing with new people. I waited outside for Ben while he was in the store and Zeus made friendly with a few passersby. He also ate a few cigarette butts, so now we have a nicotine addicted puppy. And lately he licks a lot, which is pretty gross considering that he eats cigarette butts. Also today for the first time (not that we're proud to admit this fact) Zeus licked water out of the toilet bowl. I shut the door so he can't get in there; that's just nasty.
Here's some exciting family news. Ben got a job at The Old Spaghetti Factory! He'll be serving there Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights. I think he's excited to be doing this kind of work again and it will be good to have a little extra money flowing in. I should, however, get my 2nd year contract raise in the next paycheck from the district. I've come to the conclusion (again) that being a grown up kind of stinks, in that you have to pay bills and such.
Well, I have about an hour before bed. Better make it fun!! Two days down and 7 more to go of ESL HELL!!!

Sounds like you had really fun couple of days. It will be GOOD for you, as teachers like to say!!
I came home after a couple of hours shopping yesterday and decided that my air conditioner is broken--at least not putting out cold air. Just what I need.
And then I find out today that there is a good chance my job will be going away before the end of the year--we take one day at a time, huh?
Love ya
