highlights

I've been questioning whether or not to post this week because my week's been kind of lame and my creative juices have not been so much flowing as sitting stagnant, so here's my thoughtless post about a few highlights from my week. We headed to Denver next week for a teacher's conference and a mini vacation; hopefully that'll bring some fun things to post about...

* I started whitening my teeth, per the dental hygienist's recommendation (I have some calcium stains from braces days) as well as using a fluoride paste once a day to help with my sensitive teeth. I don't think I've paid this much attention to my teeth since the days of my spacer (the "Cadillac," as dad used to call it), bands, and braces. So far no noticeable difference, but I'm in it for the long haul!

* Both Ben and I had eye doctor appointments on Thursday. It was Ben's first time getting his eyes dilated. I didn't have any change in my prescription, but was so happy to be able to finally go buy new contacts yesterday! We both had headaches all day after the dilation and had to cancel plans to go boating (snif).

* I went to a wedding shower for one of Ben's cousins. It was a camping shower so my mom and I got the couple some hot dog roasters and a mini grill.

* Ben and I went to see "The Dark Knight" last night. It was awesome. We went to eat at Joe's Crab Shack right before and had to hurry through dinner to make it 20 minutes early and we STILL had to sit on the third row at the bottom. The Joker was amazing and I have a new secret crush on Christian Bale.

* Tonight we're going to see "Mamma Mia," which I'm SO excited for. Hopefully our friends will be able to come along to this movie and we'll have better seats.

* I finished my homework for this week and started on next week's. This isn't necessarily fun, but it feels good to get it done and I won't have to worry about it next week while in Denver.

* I worked on and finished preparing for Sharing Time on Thursday! This is huge for me because I usually wait until Saturday to do anything with it. It's gonna be good!!!
