The No Child Left Behind yearly report card was released yesterday. My school has reason to celebrate because we finally passed AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress). Click here to read an article from yesterday's SL Tribune.
It's kind of sad that the teachers in the lounge yesterday almost thought it was a miss-print that WL had actually passed, but it's true. Our students performed well enough during last year's computer-based CRT tests and their hard work (and maybe the teachers hard work?) paid off!
At closer look to the school's report, which if you're really interested, click here to view, there are still some areas for improvement. However, being a Title 1 school, I think it's a great thing.
And I'm just pleased to let everyone know. Way to go, WL!!!
