Yesterday we had the Faculty Follies assembly. Various groups of teachers got together and performed dances and lip syncs to different songs. I hooked up with a few other young teachers and we transformed ourselves to be the Spice Girls. We dressed up as the once popular girl group from the UK. This picture was taken just moments before we went on state. From left to right: Posh Spice, Pregnant Sporty Spice (that's me), Scary Spice, Ginger Spice, and Baby Spice.
We've been practicing for a few weeks and put together a fun little dance. It was really fun! I was wearing a black wig...with hopes of truly disguising myself...but it began falling off near the end of the performance. And, well, now my baby bump is quite apparent so my secret (which really wasn't a secret) is out to the whole school.
Here are a few more pictures from our performance:
This is how we started out on stage. They brought up the curtain and we were all posed, then they put lights on us and the music started.
Here's a close up of my starting pose. Remember, I was supposed to look sporty.

During the performance. We 'sang' into these awesome fake microphones and apparently at this point, I was really getting into it...

Wow...has being pregnant made you more daring? I didn't think this was your kind of thing...looks like great fun was had by all. Were you lip synching?
lol!! You guys look like more fun than the actual Spice Girls.
