Tying up some loose ends...

A very happy and prosperous New Year to everyone! I hope none of you partied too hard last night; Ben and I spent a quiet night at home with shrimp, dumplings, and sparking grape cider. It was pretty fun and I got the ever-desired midnight kiss from my honey, even though he thinks it's cliche! Oh well!!!

I am just wanting to tie up a few random thoughts for this entry. I'm quickly becoming majorly busy with preparations for Monday's start of Student Teaching. I have lots to do today (errands and such) that I need to do before stores close early.

First off, to any of you who have been anxiously awaiting a picture of my new dark hair-do, I apologize. No pictures have been taken and if they had, they probably would be nasty to look at as I have not washed my dark, dark locks since Thursday night. I will do my best to make Ben take my picture later tonight so I can post it. It's slowly growing on me...slowly.

Next item: Happy birthday to long-time best friend, Katie Rigby (I hope you don't mind my mention of your name). She was a new years baby and I am proud to call her friend. Katie and I used to chum around in Utah together...a popular sight of visitation for us was Office Max. That was long before we could drive and date so our choice of weekend activities then became more exciting and mature...er, something. Anyway, I could go on and on about Katie, but let me just finish with this: Katie, I love you dearly and wish you a splendid birthday.

And lastly...I just want to tell you all that my posts might start becoming few and far between (meaning not as often). I've been talking about student teaching for months now, only anticipating what it might be like. The time has come, however, that I will no longer just talk of the event...it starts on Monday. From what I hear, I will all of a sudden become extremely busy with preparations for lessons, grading papers, and worrying about the next day. I fear my free time as I know it now will be cut short, and thus, these wonderful entries that you have all enjoyed will be sparse. But, have no fear. I will make a goal of updating you on my experience as well as include other information about what's going on up here in freezing-ville. Keep visiting and leaving comments of encouragement as you see fit and I promise to continue writing.

Thanks to all of my readers, though in number you may be few, I appreciate you reading my silly little thoughts. I love you all.
