Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Today I'm spending the special holiday with the same guy who gave me a construction paper heart valentine in third grade; how cool?!?!
Yup, it's true. In third grade (and every elementary school grade for that matter), Ben always made me a special valentine. I have been his valentine since 1st grade--though I wouldn't really accept that until high school.
One year it was a little paper with the little candy hearts with words on them stuck on it with glue.
Another year, he dropped off a small bouquet of silk roses on my doorstep, rang the bell and ran. There was also a card with a duck on the front that was signed, "a secret admirer."
When he was on his mission, he sent me a poster which now hangs in our bedroom with a little boy and little girl sitting on the front. It says "A Kiss is a Love letter from the Heart."
Our first Valentine "together," he was in Washington and I was in Idaho. He sent me a cute card that was for "My Wife." (We weren't married yet).
And last year, I was doing my student teaching on Valentine's day when he came into the school with a huge bouquet of real flowers and a Wendy's lunch.
I wonder what he's got up his sleeves this year?!?!?!? I'll let you know!
Love to all around!
