Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, here I am, all ready to go at 6:40am. This is the earliest I've ever been ready. Just thought I'd get on and post a shortie.
Having a splendid week. Just started my big Holocaust/Anne Frank unit and it's going very good...The students are interested and that makes it easier. Today we will be on the lap-tops looking at the United States Holocaust Memorial museum web site. It should be very interesting. I am excited for Monday when I fully take over and teach all day.
Right now, however, I'd much rather be in bed. It was a late, late, late night last night and I'm sure feeling it this morning. The bags under my eyes won't go away no matter how much concealor I put on. My body aches something fearce, it's tired, worn out, and in need of a GOOD night of sleep (perhaps I'm getting sick). I space out every few seconds and stare off into the nothingness around me, contemplating such things as kiwi fruit and the new "Brush-Up" things that Ben loves too much. Random. How wired.
But, alas, I've got a "job" to do, a "job" that I love to no end. The day will go by fast because they always do (seriously, student teaching has flown by this first month). I'll come home and type away until my little paper-cutted fingers bleed. Lesson plans will cling to my desk like butter to popcorn and I will be stressed, once again, that we don't have more days to teach Anne Frank!!!
Sleep will come easy tonight (hopefully) and when I pop into bed at 9pm, my body will yell phrases like "oh, finally, the bed!" All will be happy and tomorrow I won't be cranky.
Ahhh...
I love student teaching.
ciao--have a grand day.
