Five lessons

I'm reading an excellent book right now. I began reading it this morning on the way down to school (I find that driving distance to and from Eagle Rock each day gives me one hour of "free time" to read; It's great), and am already almost finished.

Typically, I'm not one for "self-help" or "informational" type books. However, this book has really sparked an interest that hasn't really been in my mind before.

My dear mom loaned it to me (she's notorious for this and I love it). I can take things like this from my mom and know that it comes only because of love; not as a hidden motive to change my ways.

The book, "Five Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me," is written by Richard Paul Evans. He describes 5 important steps to becoming a millionaire. It's an easy read and for someone who generally hates anything to do with numbers, I'm learning quite a bit.

As I am nearing my completion of college and embarking into the real "real world," finding a job and actually getting paid, I plan on putting the five steps into practice.

The first lesson, one that I had never entirely thought of before, is to have the desire or choose to be wealthy. On a teachers salary, this might be hard to accomplish on wish and dreams alone, but I'm saying right here, right now, that choice/desire is here.

I recommend this book to anyone; even if you are financially fine, it has some great pointers and ideas.

Thank you for listening to my soap box for a bit. Hopefully in the days to come, I will once again find the energy and strength (let alone time) to be humorous and witty.

Love you.

Happy St. Patrick Day tomorrow. Don't forget your green.
