I-Day

Today was I-Day (Interview Day).

Part of me wants to say, "I don't really want to talk about it."

The other part of me wants to say, " I think I totally nailed it!"

We won't know for sure until mid-July, as the position is really only an "anticipated" opening.

But some good things about the interview:
-It is for the 8th grade (my ST grade), so I have some experience there, perhaps more than some of the other candidates?
-The principal complimented my resume and Idaho Technology Certificate.
-The school seems awesome; block schedule, team teaching (yay), and a first-year teacher mentoring program.

Of course, I'm being really hard on myself about what I "could have" said or "should have" said, but now it's up to them to realize what a qualified candidate I am.

Quite honestly, however, I felt really good about how it went and know that if it is meant to be, I'll be the one getting the phone call to come sign a contract. Wish me luck.

Not much else going on today. I did go swimming after the interview and had a nice time with the pool to myself! I got some sun and then came home and had a swell nap.

I'm getting excited for this weekend. Ben and I are just staying in town instead of camping with family. We're going to do some stuff around town that neither of has done for a long time (drive-in movie, zoo, etc.) It should be fun.

Have a great Thursday!!!
