my glimps into a wild life

Happy May to all. I can hardly believe it's already May, which also means it's almost my birthday, which subsequentially means I'm older (turning 24 to be exact).

I am just waiting for a meatloaf to finish cooking. You might say "eh, meatloaf? yuck!" But even Ben will tell you I make the damned best meatloaf!! I have been meaning to make it for a few nights now, but we've had other engagements for dinner and tonight is the first night we've actually spent at home with our own food to cook. I am salavating and the timer still says there are 25 minutes until I can eat.

Friday night Ben and I had the opportunity (if you could call it that) to spend the evening with our friends, Jake and Angel. It has been a while since we've been able to get together so when they found a babysitter for their one-year-old baby boy, we jumped at the chance. We somehow (still a mystery to me) ended up at a local bar, Port O' Call, and spent the late night hours and early morning minutes dancing to headache inducing music (again, if you could call it that).

Not only were the four of us out of our normal, Mormon family element, we all felt awkward dancing as if we were being filmed for the latest 50 Cent music video. Sure, it was fun just because I've never been to a bar/club (since the lame Idaho Club Retrix really doesn't count).

At about 1:30am we left to go to Dee's for a bite to eat. While we were there, we recieved awful service and ran into a few fellow "clubers." I ate only 3 slices of 6 marvelous French toast and about 10 greesy fries covered in cheese.

When Ben and I finally arrived home at nearly 3am, I was way past tired.

I think these 24 year old bones just aren't cut out for that crazy, wild lifestyle.

ps...my zit is still there and yesterday while we were visiting my mom and neice, Cassidy put her finger on it and asked, "What's that owwy on your face, Lauren?" Owwy. Right.
