happy papa's day

I just finished read a bunch of my friends' blogs and they all posted fun things about their dads. So, like the copycat that I am, here's my list about my dads:

My dad is cool. He is really good at buying me shoes, you know, the important things in life. He lets me visit him in Las Vegas whenever and usually spoils me while I'm there. He passed on his big eyes and dry skin to me (oh, and the love for shoes, too) and comes from a family with cool stories and interesting (very interesting) people. He likes to watch movies and has great taste in music... and sends me burned copies of great CD's regularly. He took me to San Francisco for my 16th birthday and let me drive his purple Seabring Convertible in high school (yup, the one I left the lights on all night and that wouldn't start the next time I got in to drive) and took me to a Dave Matthew's Band concert in Las Vegas (and REM, Tina Turner, and Mama Mia). He reads my blog (I kind of think he's the only one....) and sends me fun YouTube links. He let me and two best friends spend our Senior Trip at his house and took us all over. My dad is a neat guy and I'm glad he's mine. (And I think I'm his favorite daughter...)

Ben's dad (my dad, too!) is great. He's super funny and always has joke (or two or three or four) to tell. He laughs at his kids (and grandkids) and makes really yummy home made ice cream. He spent a whole mess of money and time fixing my Subaru when it was on the fritz in 05 and has helped Ben with stuff around our house. He makes sure his boys are nice to the girl Huberts and gets upset when they aren't. He treats mom Hubert great and is a good example of a husband and father who loves being a husband and father. He's a great priesthood holder and serves EVERYONE without question. He's the coolest postman ever and rides his bike to work every day! He treats me like a daughter and not an "out-law" and always gives a hug when I see him. He's played (and is pretty dang good for an old man...hehehe) Guitar Hero. He's just an all around neat guy and I'm glad I'm a member of his family.

And, even though Ben isn't a father yet, I know he'll be a great one soon. He's so fun and helps me not stress so much (and he kind of spoils me, too...do you see a pattern here??). I'm so glad he's my husband forever. I love you, dude.

Thanks for the nice words about me--we have had lots of good times, huh? You forgot to mention BNL and Blueman Group and "O" at Bellagio plus how many visits to the Bellagio fountains? And of course, your favorite of all time, the visit to Boulder Dam and the tour down under(which you can't even do now thanks to the damn terrorists!!)
