outdoor fun

I love the tube!

We've had an exciting and busy past few days. I know all 2 of my readers have been waiting patiently for a post, so here ya go.

Friday was dad Hubert's birthday. We made a tradition last year to go biking on his birthday. Last year we did the Bonneville Trail (and since I didn't eat anything before, I had a bout of dizziness!). Mom Hubert dropped us off at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon where we first rode up the dirt rode a little ways and then rode down the canyon and back home. In total, we rode 18 miles. It was sweet. This was my first real go on my spankin' new bike and it was super cool--smooth!!! I definitely noticed a difference with the shock brakes and my suspension actually works!

After the ride, we loaded up the new boat (new to us, anyway) and after a few stop-off trips, we went boating at Utah Lake (otherwise known as the mud puddle!) and tested out the tube and wakeboard. We invited cute Mariah, Jaren's gf, and we all had a swell time.
I love the tube...cute face, eh?

Old man Hubert is really good at wake boarding--this on his 51st birthday!!
Mariah and I mostly loved to swim in the lake and found a stick covered in moss.
