Darlings! I know you've missed me, but alas, I'm back. Our internet has been down since Tuesday (I know, annoying) and after days of frustration, it finally works and the Huberts are happy kids!
While I've been "down" the last few days, a lot of really clever blog ideas came to my mind, but I just thought I might focus on one interesting item of business for tonight's entry. We are expanding our daily readers and so I would ask and encourage you to invite any and all of your friends to hop online and check out the blog. I promise, they will not be disappointed. (As a side note, a fellow blogger, known as Breakup Babe, has just received a book deal based on her blog. Though I do not really think that will be the case here, the more people I have read, the more outlets it goes through to people who might be able to hook me up with a sweat deal!!)
anyway, do any of you watch Live with Regis and Kelly in the mornings? I don't know if this would be a sad admittance, but I love that show. I remember the old days when Kathie Lee was the female counterpart of the morning show. Her mouth seemed so big to me, it looked like she could practically eat Regis' head at any time. She quit (which I wasn't object to) and moved on to bigger and better things-- ok, so maybe not really but her clothing line has made some wonderful contributions to the section in women's closets all over the world of clothes they never wear-- and passed her duties onto the younger, much more pleasant looking Kelly Ripa. It took a few years for me to catch onto this new phenomenon, mostly because the show is on when I'm typically in school. However, the last few years have proved life-changing for me in that I have witnessed Ripa's outstanding assests that she's offered the show. She's quirky and can put that powerful Regis in his place.
With that said, I just have to mention that a few days ago, Regis and Kelly announced that the word "blog" is one of the most looked up terms in the dictionary. It was quite clever, you see, because Regis segued into a big speal about most looked up words and Kelly immediately blurted, "Yeah! What is a blog?", at which point Regis continued to explain.
It made me smile. It made me feel proud. It almost made me cry. The "blog" sensation is slowly catching on in the finicky world. Nearly a year ago, Matt Lauer interviewed a specialist about the idea of blogging, finally concluding that blogs can be dangerous and blah, blah, blah.
Well, Mr. Lauer...HAH! in your hoity-toity face! "Blog" has now been upgraded to a cool thing to do and something that enough people are curious about, they will be including it in the latest edition of the dictionary!! (This is a major turning point considering that when I spell-check my blog entries, "blog" comes up as an "unkown word")
Happy Weekend to all. Stay warm, as I know I better since it is a whopping 22 degrees out. We're looking at a snowy weekend. Love you all.
