Happy 1st of September! This is a busy month for our tiny family: Sister-in-law Hilary's birthday is this week, big brother Eric turns 31 on September 11th, and hubby Benis getting up there at 24 on the 23rd of the month.
It's also quite possible that September will finally bring with it a job for me in Las Vegas. We're waiting on pins and needles for the go ahead to move down and teach...the call should come at any minute.
I'm doing double duty here today, readers. I have joined forces with The Truth Laid Bear for the official Blog Relief Day for Hurricane Katrina. I've registered my little blog with this service with a promise to promote one charity of my choice, asking any and all who read to donate any possible for relief.
My charity of choice is the LDS Humanitarian Services. I know the church has done much good for other people affected by other disasters and I also know that just yesterday, 14 truck-loads left SLC full of supplies for those affected by the storm.
TTLB also asked me to post the following link for your information:

I know it is possible to help all those suffering. I can't even fathom what they are going through.
If you can help, please do so.

The wards and stakes in the Houston Region are busy making hygeine kits for distribution to people in the Astrodome and other local shelters. They will also be busy helping to feed the people in the Astrodome. There is a lot of service going on.
