Happy Father's Day!!! It's exactly 6 minutes before midnight as I write this, so I figured I'd better get my well-wishes out of the way before the day was over.
We just spent a wonderful evening with family to celebrate the day for pops. We rode the bike out to Draper and had a great dinner with the Witt family. I'm glad for my dads and for grandfathers and for my husband who will be a dad someday.
On the way home, we passed a stripmall that I've driven by a million times. For the first time, I looked at one of the shops with a sign with green lettering and actually noticed what it said.
The name of the shop: Fish & Gifts.
Hmm. Apparently at this store, you buy either a nice fresh Salmon or a box of decorative napkin rings. I thought the name of the store was quite ambiguous. Now, sitting at home, I'm thinking I may need to make a stop at this Fish & Gifts just to see what they have in stock.
Perhaps you can buy the famous Great Salt Lake Brine Shrimp and a cheesy t-shirt that says "My friends went to Salt Lake and brought back this lousy t-shirt." Or maybe a little gold fish that will die in three days and a fancy bell painted white with the scene of "Old Deseret" painted on the front.
Crazy name for a store if you ask me.
You bet I'll be there first thing in the morning when Fish & Gifts opens it's doors for the thousands of customers.
